Frequently Asked Questions

1. I received an invitation to complete a MindX assessment. What do I do?

Please follow the instructions outlined in the invitation email that will invite you to either:
  • Download the MindX mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. You will then create a profile using the email that received the invitation (and by setting a password). Once logged in, you will be able to access and complete the assessment on your mobile device.
  • Access a link on your desktop device that will take you to the web page that is hosting the MindX assessment. You will need to provide your unique candidate code in order to access and complete the assessment.

2. How long will the assessment take?

This will depend on how many games are included in the assessment, but they typically take less than 15 minutes to complete.

3. How long do I have to complete the assessment?

We do not put a time limit on how long you have to complete your MindX assessment, however the organization who invited you may have done so. We would suggest that you reach out to them if they have not already shared this with you.

4. How do I complete the assessment?

You will be automatically directed to the assessment when you access the MindX app or web browser. Your assessment will consist of a number of games. Full instructions on how to complete each game are available before you start. We strongly recommend you take your time and read these carefully - don’t worry, you aren’t timed!

5. Do I need to install any software?

If you have been invited to complete the assessment on your mobile device, then yes – you will need to download the MindX mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. While we hope you will choose to keep the app to continue playing the games, you are free to remove it from your device after you have completed your assessment.
If you have been invited to complete the assessment on your desktop then no – just follow the link to the web browser and complete the assessment online.

6. Which devices can I complete my MindX assessment on?

The MindX app runs on iOS (9+) and Android (5+).
For the desktop version, these are our officially supported browsers:
  • Google Chrome (latest 2 versions)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest 2 versions)
  • Safari (10 and 11)
  • Microsoft Edge (14+)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11

7. Do I need to be connected to the internet?

Yes – whether you complete the assessment on the mobile app or the desktop browser, you will need a stable internet connection. We strongly recommend using WiFi, rather than your mobile data, if completing the assessment on the app.

8. What if I lose connection?

Not to worry – your progression is saved after you complete each game. If you lose connection or need to quit for any reason, you will be able to pick up the assessment from the last game you started.

9. Why have I been asked to complete an assessment?

You will have been asked to complete the MindX assessment by either your current or potential employer. By completing the assessment, you will provide them with valuable insights about you and how you are likely to perform at work. If you have any concerns or do not understand why you were invited to MindX, we would suggest you reach out to them directly.

10. Will I be able to see my results?

Yes – after completing the assessment you will be provided feedback on your performance. This will be linked to useful insights about your cognitive profile and how you are likely to perform at work. This is designed to be developmental and provides action points, so that you can use this to grow and develop.

11. What happens after I complete my assessment?

Once you are instructed that your assessment is completed, you will be invited to view your in-app or in-browser scores and feedback. What happens next will depend on the organisation that invited you to complete the assessment. If they have not communicated this or you are unsure, we would suggest you reach out to them directly.
